This Chronicle article discusses the pollution and health problems the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood faces. This area has 700 hazardous waste material facilities and two Superfund cleanup sites. The neighborhood has four times as many toxins as other San Francisco neighborhoods. The study is the first to measure the relative health of area residents.
