Scientists recently found some deformed frogs in Ohio. One frog had extra LIMBS
growing out of its chest area -- where legs would never develop normally.
Could "Lefty" have been deformed by parasites? Scientists don't think so because the parasites called TREMATODES only affect frog development where limbs would grow naturally -- not in the chest. So, they think it may be a pesticide found in the environment that is deforming the frogs, or perhaps something they have not identified yet. It could also be that multiple things are causing the deformities they have found in Ohio.
